Speaker Biography
Remer Rietkerk is currently Newzoo’s Head of Esports, having joined the firm in September of 2019. Prior to this, Remer worked at Riot Games on the League of Legends European esports ecosystem with the League Management team.
After leading the creation of the original European Regional League circuit he moved to the EU LCS where he regulated the business ecosystem, managed contracting, and acted as the primary point of contact for the EU LCS team owners. In 2018, he acted as project owner for the long-term partnership process, which culminated in the launch of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) at the beginning of 2019.
