Speaker Biography
Gareth Llewellyn is co-founder and CEO of spatial audio startup MagicBeans. MagicBeans creates immersive experiences for brands, artists and musicians, and is leading research into volumetric audio synthesis alongside partners Warner Music and the Psychoacoustic Labs at Huddersfield University.
Gareth began his career in film audio post before moving to Galaxy Studios, Belgium where he was heavily involved with the pioneering 3D audio work that led to the Auro-3D sound format. Gareth helped mix the world’s first commercial 3D audio feature (RedTails, Lucasfilm) with a team from Skywalker Sound, and went on to remix dozens of features in 3D.
