Speaker Biography<\/h3>

Kiran Sethi is a dedicated advocate for diversity, inclusion, and social equity, focused on expanding access to the creative industries in Greater Manchester. Growing up in Manchester, Kiran has long been involved in the city’s creative scene and understands its potential to nurture local talent, enabling creatives to thrive without needing to move to the capital. During his time at Manchester International Festival\/Factory International, Kiran has spearheaded the development of Factory Academy, Factory International’s in-house skills and training department. Factory Academy is dedicated to providing free, accessible creative industries training for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds across Greater Manchester. His work has directly contributed to the graduation of over 1,000 participants in the past four years, earning Factory Academy recognition as the ‘Training Initiative of the Year’ at the 2024 British Training Awards.<\/p>
