Speaker Biography<\/h3>

Dan Wallman has been creative and digital skills leader for over two decades. In 2003, Dan founded Dv8 Sussex, a creative college aimed at empowering young people with the skills to succeed in the creative and digital industries. Dan led Dv8 Sussex until 2021, supporting many young people into creative careers and providing the creative skills needed to be successful in work. <\/p>\n

Dan then transitioned into skills consultancy, becoming the Digital and Creative Sector Lead for the Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan. His work included conducting comprehensive Deep Dive sector reports, collaborating with local employers and skills providers to identify skills gaps in the Digital, Creative and Cultural sectors. These reports offered key insights on how to bridge these gaps, helping the skills system better align training with employer needs. More recently, he has led on two follow on reports, focussing into Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Neurodiversity in the workplace. <\/p>\n

In 2022, driven by his passion for solving the digital skills shortage, Dan founded TechNative Digital. Through its flagship initiative, the TechNative Academy, Dan has developed industry-focused software development bootcamps aimed at equipping adults with the skills to transition into tech careers. In addition, he continues to lead wider initiatives that foster closer collaboration between schools, colleges and the tech industry, ensuring the next generation is well-prepared for the digital economy.<\/p>
