Speaker Biography<\/h4>

Gemma works with photography, film, and audio to create factual content for a range of clients and community organisations in Sheffield and beyond. Her work explores identity and belonging, with a special focus on culture, migration, sport and the environment. She co-directed a short doc about a young boxer in Havana, Cuba \u2018En la Sangre\/In The Blood\u2019 which screened at film festivals in the UK and internationally. Gemma has lived, travelled and worked extensively in China and her first feature documentary, \u2018Shanghai Blues\u2019, is currently in production. <\/p>\n

In 2022 she was one of 50 creatives selected to work on StoryTrails, the UK\u2019s largest ever immersive storytelling project and co-produced an AR Trail celebrating the life of environmental pioneer Ethel Haythornthwaite. <\/p><\/p>
